January 2023

Shinnenkai, 10 AM Saturday, March 18th

II SOGWACHI DEEBIRU! Yomitan Club’s 94th Annual Shinnenkai will be a luncheon. Saturday, March 18th at 10:00 AM at the Hawaii Okinawa Center Ballroom.

This return to in-person gatherings for 2023 will be marked with many changes! We’ll try to cover as much as we can in this issue. This newsletter will include your 2023 Shinnenkai registration/reservation form, seating chart & member form. There’s still time to renew your dues or apply as a new individual, family, or senior member.

Pay your Club Dues Separately

Please mail your dues payment to Yomitan Treasurer, Roxanne Yoshida, 621 Kaumaka Pl., Honolulu, HI 96825. She is in charge of collecting your dues payments. Our dues amounts are the same $15/year for individual adults (25+); $30/year for families; seniors 65+ are free.

Please renew your dues or apply as new members (including seniors 65+). Our dues deadline has passed, but; please pay your dues first! It affects the seat price you pay.

Shinnenkai Payments go to TRACY HART

Did you know that Yomitan Club covers the additional cost for members to attend Shinnenkai? As a member in good standing, Yomitan will cover the additional $20 per member and the full cost for all dependents for your admission to the party. That means members only pay a discounted member rate of $25 per person!

All other guests will pay the full price of $45 per person.

Please send in your Shinnenkai Registration & Payment Form and payment check(s) to our Shinnenkai Registration Chair, Tracy Hart (contact information located on form).

For Group Organizers, see the table layout and group reservation instructions on the Group Reservation Instructions & Table Layout Form.

Bring your pupus! Raffle donations are also welcome!

As usual, Yomitan Shinnenkai wouldn’t be the same without our legendary potluck pupus, so we welcome your donations of snacks, pupus or desserts!

We’ll have our popular lucky number drawings, again! If you wish to help by donating prizes to the booth, please call or text Paula Lewis at 808-384-8057.

Planning Help Needed, Attend a Meeting

We really need an assistant treasurer to help process member payments and to update member records! We also need volunteers for the Shinnenkai preparation team!

Next meeting: Mon, Feb 20, 6:30 PM. Join virtually at https://meet.google.com/ooz-rbez-pry
