Our roster is divided into groups who then rotate to chair each event.
Shinnen-Enkai is the Japanese tradition of celebrating the New Year and looking forward to prosperity and good health in the coming year .For the Club it is also a gathering of generation-Issei, Nisei, Yonsei, Gosei, etc... a celebration with family and friends; and an opportunity to enjoy a good program. It is usually held in the month of February.
Our annual picnic at Ala Moana Park has become a significant tradition ot promote fellowship among our Club members. The day is selected at the beginning of the year.
Sponsored by the Hawaii United Okinawan Association to promote our Okinawan culture, fellowship, among the membership, and to develop positive Okinawan ethnic identity. Held Labor Day Weekend.
